Eight nominations at the 2010 Academy Awards, with Christoph Waltz winning Best Supporting Actor (also awarded at Cannes). With a worldwide gross of over 321 million dollars against a budget of 70 million, it was at the time the most commercially successful film of Tarantino's career.
The Locations
The Untermarkt and the Neptune Fountain serve as the backdrop for several scenes, with the city standing in for occupied Paris in the early 1940s. The streets of the historic center, with their pristine Baroque facades, perfectly recreated the atmosphere of the French capital under National Socialist rule.
